Interested in learning more about St. John’s By-the-Sea? Then download the latest issue of the Ho`oulu’s online newsletter.
In this issue:
- Honolulu Star-Bulletin‘s Mary Adamski’s feature article on St. John’s and it’s quarterly all-Hawaiian language service
- Fr. David Gierlach on how faith cannot be separated from real life
- Pictorial on a recent group of young Tahitian visitors expressing themselves and their thanks through the gift of dance!
As a little experiment, I am trying a free website that allows people to download the newsletter from a source outside of their regular e-mail. This way, people’s e-mail inboxes won’t be filled with such a large file.
Granted, a free site would possibly result in pop-ups and ads and whatnot. So don’t say I didn’t warn you. (If you would rather get our newsletter via e-mail, simply send your request to MC_L (at) hotmail.com with “I want my copy of the newsletter” in the subject line. If you are already on the e-mail list, you don’t have to do this–you’ll continue to get the newsletter via e-mail.)
If you’d like to help me out with this little experiment, download your FREE copy of the April-May 2009 issue of the Ho`oulu right here: http://www.mediafire.com/?jgywm4qzjt2
Once you click the above link, another page will pop up. On that page, click on the link that says “Click here to start download” and you can save the pdf file onto your computer.
Update: I found an even better website to store an archive of the newsletters online–and without worrying about unwanted pop-ups on your computer. And better yet: you don’t have to download the newsletter to your hard drive if you don’t want to!
Simply click on the tab on the top right corner of the gray box below to view the newsletter full-screen. And if you really want to, you can still download the file to your computer by clicking on “More” and then “Save Document”:
And by all means, share it with your family and friends!
